Always nice to have a before and after picture, doncha think?
I forgot how early 4:30 AM is until I was warming up the motorcycle for the ride.
Lemme see two GPS units ought to make sure I can get there and that I can get home.
Just after 5:00 AM on the road. Pre-dawn is a nice time to be out.....occasionally.
On Route 78 in Jersey as the sun starts to come up...
I know this is redundant, but the sunrise was so pretty I just couldn't resist taking another picture. I just doubled my chances of getting a good shot.
This is on Route 287 in New Jersey at the first moment the sun peaked over the horizon. This picture doesn't begin to do it justice. As I remember it, the sun was a fire engine red beacon in the distance.
This is just after I pulled into the Ramapo Motorcycle Clubs lot.
Everybody has a banner. As banners go this is as nice as any of them...
At 7:15 the lot is starting to get busy.
Everybody ought to have a commemorative t-shirt to add to their overstuffed t-shirt drawer.
You never know what to expect on a ride, but this ride was loaded with gorgeous scenery and twisting roads.
This was just too idyllic to pass by without taking a picture.
Imagine having breakfast on your deck overlooking the lake. It may get better than this, but I don't know how.
New Jersey is littered with waterways that in the early morning light capture your attention.
And then you're riding along, enjoying the scenery and another piece of scenic splendor steps out in front of you while you're traveling 40 miles an hour. This isn't a sight you ever want to see at 10:00 AM
Neither is this the way to end a summer day with your scoot on the back of a rollback...
Gonna take more than duct tape and chicken wire to fix this!
At least it didn't trash both sides of the bike.
The good news? Just an ugly case of road rash... But the shirt and jeans will be put out of service forever!
